Clinical Radiologists (CR) is currently seeking a fellowship trained body imaging radiologist. Body imaging candidates should have a strong foundation in all areas of body imaging including CT, US, and MRI.

Details of this job opportunity include:
  1. Body imaging position with some general radiology responsibilities. Must be comfortable reading most modalities and performing core general procedures.
  2. Image-guided biopsies and similar procedures for candidates with training and interest in procedures.
  3. Affiliation with the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine Radiology Residency with a clinical faculty appointment and opportunity to teach students, residents and fellows.
  4. Support available for research projects for those interested.
  5. Memorial Medical Center – a tertiary care teaching hospital with a Level One trauma center, four 64 row CT scanners, 3 MRI units (one 1.5T and two 3T), DECT and CEUS.
  6. Springfield Clinic – large multi specialty group with three 64 row CT scanners, DECT and 2 MRI units (one 1.5T and one 3T).
  7. Other duties include practice building, participation in committee meetings and teaching opportunities
Licensure/Certification:

The largest hospital in the service area for CR is Memorial Medical Center, a 500-bed acute care hospital located in Springfield, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. Site Description:
  1. St. Louis Metro Clinical Radiologists has several base locations for physicians. This radiologist will be based out of the St. Louis, Mo./Belleville, IL area. The largest hospital in the service area for CR is Memorial Hospital, a 202-bed independently owned and operated community hospital located 15-minutes east of downtown St. Louis, Missouri, providing a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. A sister hospital is located in Shiloh, IL, about 20 minutes from the Memorial Main campus. The Breast Imaging Center is located at the Shiloh campus and the Siteman Cancer Center will be opening in Shiloh in the Spring 2020. The radiologist will work in other hospitals within that geographical location as the schedule requires.

The candidate should have a strong foundation in basic interventional radiology including low level dialysis and body IR procedures. This position has NO call requirements, so your evenings and weekends are your own. This position also allows for the flexibility to live within 100 mile radius of Vincennes, IN. Potential commute locations would be Evansville, IN; Terre Haute, IN: Mattoon, IL; and Mount Vernon, IL.

Site Description:
  1. Clinical Radiologists has several base locations for physicians. This radiologist will be based out of the Springfield, IL area. The largest hospital in the service area for CR is Memorial Medical Center, a 500-bed acute care hospital located in Springfield, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. The radiologist will work in other hospitals within that geographical location as the schedule requires.

Clinical Radiologists (CR), based in Springfield, Illinois, is seeking a fellowship-trained Neurointerventional Radiologist to join our established NIR team to support our largest tertiary hospital’s Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.

CR represents an established radiology practice of more than 70 radiologists, most of whom have additional sub-specialty training. The group is one of the largest in the nation, providing radiology coverage to 32 hospitals and more than 40 clinics throughout central Illinois and in parts of Indiana, Iowa and Missouri.

While this is a private practice position, there is a clinical academic appointment within radiology, neurology and neurosurgery at Southern Illinois University (SIU) School of Medicine. The University has an active ACGME accredited residency program.

Negotiable salary based on experience; two-year track to partnership.

FACILITY INFORMATION:

The hospital, Memorial Medical Center (MMC), is a 500-bed tertiary care hospital in Springfield, Illinois, and is one of twelve Illinois hospitals to achieve the comprehensive stroke designation.

MMC’s Comprehensive Stroke Center benefits from close linkages with SIU’s Neuroscience Institute, MMC’s Emergency Medical Department, Neuromuscular Sciences, and Medical Imaging service lines, as well as with SIU School of Medicine. Memorial’s rehabilitation program is nationally recognized, with five concurrent accreditations by CARF (The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) including inpatient stroke and brain injury specialization. Neuroimaging support is excellent, with two 3.0 Tesla and one 1.5 Tesla MRI units on the main campus, and 256 Slice CT dedicated to the Emergency Department. The program also has a history of successful grant funding for equipment and program development, as well as educational outreach.

MMC, a three-time Magnet-designated hospital, is the largest affiliate of Memorial Health System (MHS). MHS is comprised of six additional affiliate corporations, including three regional hospitals (soon to be four), two of which are critical access, primary care physician network, Memorial Behavioral Health, home services, and durable medical equipment companies. MMC is the market leader in its service area, with approximately 67% market share in neurosciences. Designated a Level I Trauma Center, MMC’s Emergency Department provided 71,125 visits in FY2018, with an additional 93,795 visits provided in its three affiliated urgent care centers.
