Nuclear Medicine physicians have one year of fellowship training in nuclear medicine after completion of radiology residency. They have expertise in interpretation of a variety of nuclear medicine studies, including bone scans, renal scans, PET and PET/CT as well as nuclear medicine imaging of the heart. Our nuclear medicine physicians also offer treatments of some diseases such as hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer.
