CRSC physician inducted as American College of Radiology fellow
Springfield, IL — Jose A. Rodriguez II, MD, FACR, of Quincy, IL, has been inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Radiology (ACR). The induction took place at a formal convocation ceremony during the recent 88th ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership conference May 14-18, 2011, in Washington, D.C.

Rodriguez, a radiologist with Clinical Radiologists, S.C., based in Springfield, Ill, primarily services the Quincy service area, rotating between Blessing Hospital and Quincy Medical Group. He is a clinical assistant professor of radiology and family medicine at the Southern Illinois University College of Medicine and emeritus staff at Doctors’ Hospital in Coral Gables, Fla. He is a member of the ACR, the Illinois Radiological Society, the Illinois State Medical Society and the Dade County Medical Association. Rodriguez earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and completed his radiology residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn.

One of the highest honors the ACR can bestow on a radiologist, radiation oncologist or medical physicist is recognition as a fellow of the American College of Radiology. ACR Fellows demonstrate a history of service to the College, organized radiology, teaching, or research. Approximately 10 percent of ACR members achieve this distinction.

The ACR is a national non-profit association serving more than 34,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of radiology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
